Dr. Adam Shoman

Dr. Shoman began his quest to become an OB/GYN in 1994 at the Alexandria University School of Medicine in Alexandria, Egypt. He graduated with honors and earned his MD designation. Over the next four years, he continued his education with internships and residencies in Alexandria before transferring to Morristown, New Jersey in 1998. While in Morristown he was a Pediactrics resident for one year. In 1999 Dr. Shoman transferred to Mount Sinai University Hospital to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. From 2002 to 2003, he was the Chief Resident in the OB/GYN department.

Dr. Shoman is currently a member of the Egyptian Medical Association and was a member of the American Medical Student Association from 1995 to 1996. He is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, an Associate Director of Medical Student Clerkship at Hackensack University Medical Center, and a Mentor at the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. He is also in private practice at Hackensack University Medical Center and Jersey City Medical Center, and he is a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey.

Medal & Honors of Academic Performance (1994)
The Professor A Soka Graduation Award in OB/GYN (1994)
The Best Teacher of the Year at Hackensack University (2004)
The Best Teacher of the Year at UMDNJ School of Medicine (2010)

Dr. Shoman is married and has four children.
