Book Review: Pregnancy and Oral Health by Sheila Wolf, RDH ‘Mama Gums’

If you have not heard of Mama Gums yet, do a quick Google search. You’ll find a few links to her website, as well as videos and links to her various books she has published throughout her career. Mama Gums was an Award Finalist Best Books for USABookNews in 2004 for her book titled ‘Pregnancy and Oral Health.’
Although this book was designed to reach out to expectant mothers, it is filled with useful, educational information that everybody can benefit from. She is extremely thorough in explaining certain procedures, products and connections between oral health and overall health. The book is easy to read and understand, and as mentioned before, male and females, young and old, single, married, expecting or not-expecting, it doesn’t matter – everybody can learn a thing or two from Mama Gums.
