Dr. Lonnie C. Morris received her Masters of Science and Nursing Certificate of Nurse-Midwifery from Columbia University, as well as her Nursing Doctorate from Case Western Reserve. She founded and was the Director and Owner of The Childbirth and Women’s Wellness Center – NJ’s first out of Hospital Birth Center. She has practiced both in and out of hospital for the last 35 years.  She is on Faculty at Yale University , Columbia University, University of Medicine and Dentistry
of NJ, U Penn and Case Western Reserve.

In 2004, Dr. Morris received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Childbearing Centers.  Since 1985, she has been Chairwoman of professional organizations such as American College of Nurse Midwives and the American College of Nurse Midwives, NJ Chapter. Dr. Morris has also been apart of several TV shows including 4 consistent years on TLC’s A Baby’s Story, ABC News and Orgasmic Birth which is currently showing in the USA and Internationally.
